SUMMARY:Summer Fridays at the Frick Instrument Donation Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, July 12th as we partner with the Frick for their Summer Fridays at the Frick concert series. Bring a new or gently used instrument to donate\, relax on the lawn\, and enjoy some music. All instruments will be distributed to local organizations and schools to support music access and education for kids in need. Instruments can be donated at the event or dropped off at the welcome center any day of the week throughout the summer. This is a family friendly event! \nFeatured music begins at 6:30pm on the North Lawn. This evening performance celebrates the closing weekend of Vermeer\, Monet\, Rembrandt: Forging the Frick Collections in Pittsburgh & New York exhibition. Daphne Alderson sings the longing of a “Girl Interrupted at Her Music\,” in a love serenade to art and its magical healing powers. Join us under the sun\, moon and stars for a magical evening with mercurial chanteuse Daphne and her extraordinary St. Michael Chamber Band. A donation of $5 per adult is suggested. \nFood options include: The Café at the Frick\, Bado’s Pizza Truck\, PGH Crepes\, PGH Halal Food\, Big Lou’s\, La Palapa\, Steve and Benny’s\, Frios Gourmet Pops

Instruments are refurbished and then distributed to underserved youth and schools in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The Farina Foundation will be collecting instruments from 9:00am-1:00pm.
